Welcome to my campaign website!
When I moved to Berkley in 1995, little did I know then that one day I would run for City Council. That idea came much later. Since moving to Berkley, my family and I have benefited from everything the City and the School District has to offer and, in return, I have supported making Berkley the best it can be through my volunteerism.
In my nearly 25 years in Berkley, I have enjoyed raising my daughter Olivia here because of the great schools, the City’s small-town feel, one-of-a-kind shops, and the uniqueness that is Berkley. I have also made many close friends along the way.
As a child Olivia was able to take advantage of all the great thing to do in Berkley including ice skating lessons at the Community Center, dance lessons at Linda’s Dance Works, knitting lessons, Berkley Day carnivals, parades and library story times.
My volunteerism started while Olivia attended Pattengill Elementary School where I helped in the classrooms with Brownie/Girl Scout troops and field trips. When Olivia attended Anderson Middle School, I was one of the founding members of the Choir Boosters and began working on the Road Rally fundraisers for their PTA. I continued to help while Olivia was in High School by volunteering for the Athletic Boosters, Tin Can Auctions and Senior All-Night parties even after she graduated.
When Olivia started high school, I decided to broaden my volunteering to those groups outside of the school district. I started as street captain with the Holiday Lights Parade, which is not an easy job!
I truly love Berkley and look forward to continuing to support the residents and stakeholders while serving on City Council if elected.
